How to Select the Right 12V Switch

  • Check Amperage Ratings: Make sure the motor or light load is not greater than the switch's continuous current rating to prevent early component failure.

  • Match The Pole And Throw Type: Use DPDT switches for polarity-reversing DC motors, such as power recliners and lift beds. Use SPDT switches for basic power control.
